[solved] How to graph CPU util windows host

Post by Jasonjay »

Hi guys, i can't get trough this one.
i can't graph CPU Utilization. I am monitoring a win2k8 server.

I tried to use the [ucd/net - CPU usage] but it wont give me any graph.
and of desperation i also tried to use the [cisco-cpu] template. still no luck

hope you could help me on this dilemma.

1) wrong forum, moving.
2) Why would you try [ucd/net - CPU usage]? It's for Linux. Why [cisco-cpu] when the vendor is Microsoft?
3) did you try [SNMP - Get Processor Information] data query?

i was currently checking on it, and found out that i have an innocent mind."stupidity"
found this link [http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=31918]
and tried to do a snmp walk and had this results.

snmpwalk -v2c -c 'XXXXX' MYHOST processor
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad.1 = INTEGER: 0

so dumb that it was just right there in my snmp get proc info. i just didnt realize that the zero there was may cpu utilization.

sorry for the wrong forum :)
