SNMP Value for Open Files (Windows2003 / SNMP4W2K)

Hello Guys,
i search a snmp value, that shows me how many files are open on the server.

It is a Windows20003 Server.
I need the because i want to know how many files are used parallel on a file server.

Open file handles? Not sure that exists. But dig around with GetIF on your server.

Could you use either the PerfMon Counters or WMI - am pretty sure PerfMon can do something like this <pete goes to look>

Yeah, performance monitors are great. I've rarely come across a situation where I wanted to monitor something where there wasn't a performance counter available.

What do people generally use to graph all their performance monitors to Cacti? I've got a perl script I'm trying to get working with Cacti at the moment that will enable Cacti to monitor any Windows performance counter, and as it is perl it is also very portable.

You could use WMI, class is "Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfNet_Server", value is under "OpenFiles"...
