This is the graph, showing the HDD temperatures fluctuating. I haven't seen a lot of hdd temp graphs (tried searching for some), and I'm simply wondering if this is normal behaviour.
Or if mabye readouts are wrong. I'm using a script calling the hddtemp program (found in Debian, and other distributions I'm sure).
Thanks. A wee bit difficult to compare celsius and fahrenheit, but still.. some variation looks normal.
But I still think my graphs look a bit weird.. the disks have sufficient cooling, so it really shouldn't be any problems.. but smooth graphs looks better in this situation.
found MBM5 very nice to gather the temperature information from my server. Can anyone of you post the scripts you are using for monitoring your HDD temps ?
thanx in advance
