I got NAN result graph

Post by cyberjames »

Hi,

I have quite strange behavior of my CACTI in Linux. I have one device with 6 processor and the graph is working from CPU0-CPU5. But when I add graph for "W32 disk statistics (%metrics)", CPU1 CPU3 CPU4 CPU5 graph are suddenly stopped. Even I run 'rebuild poller cache' it is not working. Unlike before when there is no graph I have to rebuild the poller cache and it will start to work.

My cacti version is 0.8.8a, server memory specs is 3GB and Linux OS AWS. I followed this howto at http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=15136 and no luck at all.

Here is the interesting part of my /var/log/cacti/poller.log - http://pastebin.ca/2308381.

Sharing of knowledge and experience are good. I hope anyone could help me to guide to troubleshoot and fixing this issue.

Thanks.

Permission denied has been resolved for /var/lib/php/session. I change the owner:group of the directory into apache:apache. Now, the remaining error are those:

WARNING: Poller Output Table not Empty. Issues Found: 33, Data Sources....

Alright, looks like I sorted this out. I just apply the following settings:

Poller Interval: every minute
Cron Interval: every 5 minutes
Maximum Concurrent Poller Processes: 30
Script and Script Server Timeout Value: 500

Then I adjusted the running cron to every 5 minutes as well.

I am still observing if these things will work or not.

Well, all is in. When running the scripts for CPU data from cli, what is returned? All fine?

As a general rule of thumb, it is known, that windows responds quite slow to SNMP requests. And the default disk usage template isn't that efficient. Better replace it by the one I have posted to 4th link of my sig
