I've been using Cacti for our monitoring system (VSAT) after a lot of customer keep complaining their network are slow while our system principle didn't provide monitoring tool for their system. Cacti is the best tool and help us to counter our customer. last three moth we bought a new system from our principle and notice that they install CACTI as monitoring tool in that system.
I am really learnt a lot from it even i dont know about snmp or RRD.. thank to all Cacti developer include BSOD2600 that create installer for window.. God job to all of you

I've been snooping around for a whole and former user of mrtg, I have to say a big appreciation for Cacti Community.

I'm in the middle of testing a new cacti environment to possible replace all our mrtg systems

Fantastic work guys! :D

Used MRTG / Solarwinds and Opsview for a long time - been happy with the graphs until I saw what I can do with Cacti!

Now I will leave the graphing for our VSAT, Firewalls and Switches to Cacti alone.

Respect the whole Cacti Team!

My biggest problem is trying to find a way to get officially sanctioned "donations" from my un-named company. Is there some way to generate an invoice for Cacti?
believe myself.

I'm currently working on a way, similar to the way RRDtool does it.

I have just setup my 3rd successful Cacti server on Windows. I came here to post appreciation and found this thread.

I've been using Cacti for 3-4 years now, at first as a Network Engineer for a Cable Co, and now as a Network Manager at a telephone co that I took about a year ago. When I first arrived they (we) were using another graphing tool that I wasn't so fond of. When the renewal came up ($1700) I was like, no thanks and went to cacti :-)

Thank you so much to all the developers and the community itself for creating such a wonderful network tool with great support. I will see what I can do for our company to donate and participate more in the forums to help when I can.

One of my contributions will be an Arris C4 Host Template as soon as I get it finished. Thanks again to all involved!

Been using cacti since June 2006 (6 1/2 years!)

I use it religiously, I think I'll go to hell if I stop using it.

Now for the first time I am working on a virtualized server for cacti.

Good job guys. The cacti team has concieved a cute, but awesome baby.
