install plugin ntop

Post by magikk »

Hi,
I am trying to install the plugn ntop.
I know that he is available here:

Code: Select all

http://docs.cacti.net/plugin:ntop
but i installed it under fedora 17 using "yum install ntop".
I don't know what to do for finishing the installation.I wrote "ntop" on the shell and enter a password for the admin, but what do i need for this plugin to be recognized by cacti?

They say:
Goto Console→Settings→Misc and setup the URL, grant your users access to the NTop Realm and NTop away.
Additional Help?
but what to do exactly concerning the URL and the user access?
Tx

In fact, i just understand that to install plugins under cacti we need to modify the file:
/usr/share/cacti/include/config.php
and that we need to add a line concerning the plugin just after the line:
$plugins = array();
...but i don't have this line (plugins = array) in my file config.php !?
why?

Something that is strange also is when i look at his cacti settings :

http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=48926

I see that he has a "Misc" after "Authentication" , and i don't have one for myself...

I have resolved the problem myself! (After looking for a few hours...).I just needed to add the line:
$plugins = array(); into the conf file!
