Cactid not working

Post by CoolAcid »

Ok. I'm at a loss. I have done everything to get this to work.

I'm running cactid 0.8.6c with the new poller.c listed on the forums.
Everything runs fine with cmd.php just really slowly :)

Last line of log:

Code: Select all

01/16/2005 02:03:14 AM - RECACHE: Poller[0] STATS: Time: 14.1717 s, Hosts Recached: 1
One of the reporting lines:

Code: Select all

01/16/2005 02:02:59 AM - CACTID: Poller[0] Host[8] ERROR: SNMP timeout detected [50000 milliseconds], ignoring host '192.168.1.5'
If it's been 50000 ms timeout, then it should have taken longer then 14.1717s to run right?

I haven't cleaned out the database since ensuring all devices was moved to 50000 so will to that tomorrow.

A bit tired so will continue later.

Any help would be great.

See log attached.

Oh..
I just manually removed stuff from the db as listed in forums in different sponts and cleared the pollercache

Before you say it, yes, I know pollor.php creates the rdd files. But this is a quick and dirty way to see if the snmp is still failing.

Running ./cactid 1 3 yeilds this:

Code: Select all

Seems I may have corrected my problems.

Cactid does not complain very well.

I had two versions of libnetsnmp Got rid of all the versions and reinstalled snmpd and its working now.

Irronicly I tested once and it worked. After that it would just wait on processes, but the cactid would just sit in a suspended state. Running it manually showed a missing cactid.conf file and then the process just stopped again.

Yep. Seems with the correct LIB and a working conf file all is working.

Now to just get the weatherbug module/graph working....
