WTB: Customer login plugin

Post by GlueGuy »

We are a wisp, and we track 100% of our customer's radios. We track signal quality, temperature, data traffic, and other metrics.

We're looking for a plugin (or something) that makes it simple and straightforward to give a customer a web app to look at their individual metrics.

What I envision is a way to simply set up a customer login screen that gives them access to their graphs, and only their graphs.

We currently have our cacti server behind a firewall on a private network, so we would either need to make this interface come through the firewall, or alternatively set it up to be accessed via a public interface.

We're willing to pay for this, so give us an honest estimate of what the effort would be.

Thanks!

If I read these requirements, it makes me wonder why you do not user the already implemented Cacti features.

You can setup different trees, per customer, and only give access to that specific tree for each of your customers ?

I tried this, and it takes too much time on a per-user basis. That and it doesn't always seem to wok right. We have nearly 1,000 subscribers, and it would be very difficult (and time consuming) to do this for all of them with the current user manager.

Hi GlueGuy,

I can create a plugin/addon for what you require. Can you send me some detailed requirements which you already know to

requests@urban-software.de

? I'll create a quote/estimate based on them
