Hi, first of all sorry if a make some mistakes in english, i'm french.
I'm using cacti since two weeks now and I can't manage to change the max value on the graphs.
It automaticly set the the maximum value to the maximum observed.
Exemple : I'd like "the vertical" value of my graph to go up to 8MB ( The max of my bandwith) but it is set to 3.5 Mb because it never gone upper since it strated recording.
I don't know if i'm clear enough

Re: How to change max value in graphs ?
You want to hard code the vertical axix to 8 Mbps instead of leaving rrdtool to dynamically set it? Why?
Graph templates -> graph name -> disable autoscaling and set the upper and lower limits.

Re: How to change max value in graphs ?
Thanks for your answer, I'm using cacti for a project in my company.
They want me to change this because when it's set automaticly to the max value observed, it looks like it goes up to 100% banwith usage at this particular moment of the max value. But i's not true, the bandwidth can handle more traffic.
And they want me to fix the max value to the max bandwith to see quickly if it's approximativly used at 50% of the bandwidth , or 25% , ...
I don't know if you see what I mean.
If I change the basic template of Traffic in/out all my graph will have the same max value, but I use this template to graph a lot of equipements with different bandwidth. I assume that I will have to duplicate this template and make a special one for each equipement... Too bad it can't be changed directly on graphs.
Anyway, I'm trying this right now. Thanks
