no graph is shown

I've installed cacti on Fedora Core 2 exactly as in the manual, then I've setup some graphs for my machine. all seems ok, the snmp queries seems to work fine, but when I want to see the graphs, nothing is shown, except some links in the place where the graphs supose to be. please help me here, 'coz I'm stuck

PS: if you need more infos about my configuration, please let me know.

Confirm the path of rrdtool in your configuration settings under paths.

yup....it's /usr/local/rrdtool/bin/rrdtool

anyway, doesn't seem to appear anything else on the graph....that is probably becauze the machine does nothing

ok, I see the graphs now, but I don't get anything from them. they're empty. some activity should occur in terms of CPU, memory....

it seems that crontab isn't working right. if I run the command manually, everything works just fine.... regarding the graphs on the local machine

Good to hear.

Make sure that you check the permission of the rra and log directory in you cacti installation. The permissions should allow the user that the poller.php is running from cron as to read/write/create on the directory and files within the directory.

yeah...should work though....
I've changed the user rights, but still, no activity in crontab...

[root@teste cacti]# ls -al | grep log

when i run manually the command from crontab the graphs are updated, but only those corresponding to the localhost....here it a part of the log that i'm getting from cacti.log (where the ip address is the address of eth0 of the same machine....soooeven more confusing)

Stupid question, crond running?

Do you see any crond messages in your system log? Is it even attempting to execute the cron entry? Have you checked the paths in the crontab entry?

yup...crond is running...the other tasks are doing just fine

Add the full path to php in the crontab, see if that helps.

Also, check that you don't have a user crontab set for cactiuser.

Have you tried executing the script as cactiuser?
