Message Board Guest Posting

Post by raX »

Some of you may have noticed that guest posting has been disabled on the board. It has been disabled mainly to prevent spamming due to the growing use and popularity of this message board.

A secondary reason is that requiring registration means that all posts have a valid email address tied to them. This makes it easier for the author when someone replies to their thread as they get an immediate notification. I have seen too many instances where an anonymous user creates a thread and stops checking back even though someone has replied to their post.

If anyone has any questions, let me know.

Ditto, although Rony was a little more insistent.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
