Help: Cacti does not show any graphs

Post by K9092 »

Hi everybody,
I've got a lot of problems with my Cacti: when I try to see graphs it doesn't show them, but only icons are available (magnifier, etc.).

I've installed Wamp Server and my features are:
Microsoft Windows Vista Basic
Cacti-0.8.7e
Apache 2.2.22
PHP 5.4.3
MySQL 5.5.24

Problems are:
a) I've enabled Windows SNMP Service by Control Panel
I've installed Net-SNMP and I've started its Agent by All Programs->Net-SNMP->Service->Register Agent Service
I've tried to configure Net-SNMP by entering some queries:
C:\>snmpwalk.exe -v 1 -c public localhost sysdesc

And the output is:
SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Hardware: x86 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 13 AT/
AT COMPATIBLE - Software: Windows Version 6.0 (Build 6002 Multiprocessor Free)

But when I put this:
C:\>snmpwalk.exe -v 1 -c public localhost versiontag
It returns:
End of MIB

b)Devices' status in Management->Devices is "Unknown"

c)It shows me only icons in "Graph"

d)There aren't any .rrd files in directory:C:\wamp\www\cacti-0.8.7e\rra

e)There are a few Warnings:
Warning: strtotime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected the timezone 'UTC' for now, but please set date.timezone to select your timezone. in C:\wamp\www\cacti-0.8.7e\include\global_constants.php on line 156

I've tried to solve that by changing the "date.timezone= UTC" in php.ini, but the problem persists.

I'm really in trouble..I am still working with that for three weeks and I can't solve these matters.
All of your advices are most appreciate.
Thank you in advance for your kind replies.

a) I strongly suggest you stick with the microsoft snmp agent instead of net-snmp.
Why do you think the name 'versiontag' is valid to walk?

b) status won't change until you've told cacti to poll something from the device.
c) followed the steps in http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11747 ?
d) the poller running every 5 minutes?
e) Go back to php 5.3.x
