When I add a host to Cacti (w/Boost), when will the RRD file(s) will be created.
I'm attempting to add a device and use autom8 to create the basic interface graphs for the host that I'm adding.
I'm finding that sometimes the RRD files just aren't being created and I'm wondering if I need to wait for the next time the cache flushes or if it should be "instant".
Thanks
Edit:
The system is *not* a top of the line box, and I'm running quite a bit on it. I've found that creating a host, waiting a few polling cycles, disabling the host, waiting a few more, then re-enabling it kicks the RRD creation off.... I guess the real question is, should I be more patient? Create the host and all of it's graphs (autom8) and then just sit back until the system has enough time to create everything for me?
Boost + RRD creation + autom8

Re: Boost + RRD creation + autom8
Seems to be latency related.
I added a device with 700+ data sources that was sub 2ms latency from cacti, the graphs were created as soon as the device was enabled.
A similar device was added in another "region" with over 200ms latency, and I had to disable/wait/enable the host after creation for the RRD's to be created and graphs to show up....
