Problem in cacti graph when traffic goes more than 114 Mb

Post by shafikhan »

Dear Sir,

We have some Gigabit Interfaces in which traffic flow more than 100 Mbps. Whenever traffic goes beyond 114 Mbps we get breaked graph as clearly shown in attached file.kindy see the attached graph document.

i check the cacti log file also it showing the following error.

It seems that each time you create a new graph, you leave the pickdown "select graph type" by default, which is IN/OUT bits. It means 32 bit snmp counters, so you will no be able to monitor heavy traffic.

Delete one of those graphs, and while your a creating it pay attention to the pickdown "select graph type", choose there IN/OUT bits (64 bit counters). That will lead you to monitor high speed bdw.

hope this helps

please provide the folllowing outputs:

1. Goto "data sources", select the corresponding DEVICE on the pickdown and then the INTERFACE we are testing for diagnose. capture a print screen and share the image to see the values

2. on your linux command line run
rrdtool info /yourcactitree/rra/xxxxxx.rrd (where xxxxxx is the rrd file name associated to this interface above
capture the output and share it as well
