please help with cacti reboot event alert

Hello,

I have cacti .8a installed on windows 2003x64 server with apache as the web server. I used the windows installer package that is posted here. I have everything working with graphs and everything. My problem is when go under manage tab, then under email alerts I choose 'down and reboot events' or just 'reboot' events it doesnt work properly. I keep getting the same 'reboot event detected' everytime my spine poller runs (set at 5 mins interval). Any help, suggestions or reading material will be highly appreciated.

This is a problem specifically with the manage plugin, which needs to be addressed by the developer.

I finally figured out the issue. I had to choose ping and snmp instead of ping or snmp for the uptime to show properly and then get the reboot alert properly. That however raised another issue, now I keep getting down messages when the server/services are up and running. When I choose ping or snmp everything shows up status. Someone please help.
