hi installed Ubuntu 12.04 migrated 087i to 088a but unfortunately it does not display any graphs there are no cacti logs on gui system utilities/view cacti log file as well... Ive downloaded 088a on cacti site and patch pa.sql of version 3.0 since plugin management failed to show after upgrade to 088a. Plugin Management Menu successfully showed and i was able to add other plugins... but now the issue is the graphs not showing, though in realtime everything was fine... anyone please
on terminal cacti log these are the logs:

Try to change your poller back to spine.

Re: 088a Showing No Graph
Mixing of Ubuntu packages and the source form the cacti site is a bad idea, except if you know what your are doing. What exactly did you do?kevinsmith wrote:hi installed Ubuntu 12.04 migrated 087i to 088a but unfortunately it does not display any graphs there are no cacti logs on gui system utilities/view cacti log file as well... - Install Ubuntu package 0.8.7i
- Upgrade with Ubuntu package 0.8.8a (from where?)
- then what? Did you purge the Ubuntu package first?
If you try to use the PIA with the Ubuntu package 0.8.8a you will run into Debian bug 681558 and you will have to make symlinks in /usr/local/share/cacti/ to /usr/share/cacti/site/lib and to /usr/share/cacti/site/include.

Re: 088a Showing No Graph
hi thanks for the reply, ill try this one and give you a feedback after...
What I did is installed ubuntu 12.04 then apt-get install cacti cacti-spine, after installing i downloaded 088a from this site and overwrite folder /usr/share/cacti/site, since plugin management is not visible after overwriting the folder, i tried patching pa.sql from PIA version 3.0. plugin management was seen after the patching but the problem now is the graph though in realtime everything was fine.

Re: 088a Showing No Graph
By overwritting the debian installation with the cacti site installation, you probably lost your configuration. The configuration for debian can be found in /etc/cacti/debian.php while in the cacti site installation it is in ./include/config.php Did you merge the configuration?

Re: 088a Showing No Graph
hi sorry for the late reply, ive been busy on new projects lately...
for the update i figured this one already, found out that rra folder is located on site folder different from what i used to on 8.7g.
I maintained 8.7i in the meantime, so far so good as plugin patch edits no longer needed here thanks
