Verbose query timesout
Hi I'm using CACTI 0.8.7e on Windows 2003. I 'm trying to configure "Cisco QOS CM stats" template and have succesfully imported it.
When i add data query for any device and run the verbose query and runs for long time and then times out.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Re: Verbose query timesout
1) read/followed http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11747 yet?
2) you realize cacti 0.8.8a is the latest, right?
3) do other snmp queries against that device function from cacti?

Re: Verbose query timesout
Hi,
All other snmp queries are working fine. In fact, the qos class-map queiries from command prompt are working fine.
I'm importing the template from some other cacti setup. Now i notices that when i import DATA QUERY, it gives me some errors like UNMET DEPENDENCIES. We have similar setup from where we exported the template.

Re: Verbose query timesout
There ya go. Likely reason why the template isn't working on this install. I seem to recall there was a template export bug a while ago (review changelogs for to find out). Sounds like you're possibly experiencing this.
When you exported the template(s), did you make sure the Include Dependencies option was enabled?

Re: Verbose query timesout
Did you try running the new /cacti/cli/repair_templates.php script?

Re: Verbose query timesout
I tried this...but same issue...
Re: Verbose query timesout
Well then I guess your only option is to upgrade Cacti.
Did that script say it fixed any templates? I seem to recall years ago when I ran into a similar issue like this, the script did help.

Re: Verbose query timesout
Also one more that i want to confirm....
While exporting ,....i export the graph template (this export data template also) and data query.
While importing .....I import graph template (this imports data template also) and then import the data query.
Correct me if I'm wrong here....

Re: Verbose query timesout
One needs to use the --execute option on repair_template.php.
Any dependent scripts must be manually copied into the new system (i.e. stuff which lives in \cacti\scripts\ or \cacti\resource\ subfolders).
Only if the option the Include Dependencies was enabled. If the source has the template broken, it will always fail to import elsewhere.murugane wrote:While exporting ,....i export the graph template (this export data template also) and data query.
