Hi,
Currently I'm working on how to graph several datasources (different OID for each) and put them all together in the same graph and same RRD file (very similar to Interface Traffic Inbound/Outbound graphs), however I've been not able to get everything working at all so I'd like you to please help me with this implementation.
First of all, I have created a Data Template containig all the datasources I need as follows:
Please note that I have selected Data Input Method as "Get SNMP Data" waiting for the chance to put evry single OID I need to get data for each Data Source.
Next, I have created the Graph Template that uses the Data Template I created earlier as follows:
Please note that all what I want is to have different traffic types and the total (the sum of all of above by using the CDEF function in cacti).
Next, I create the Device by just adding it to the device list giving IP address, community descriptions, etc.....
After that, in Create New Graph menu I create the graph I need by selecting the device and the Graph Template. In this case, I have selected the Graph Template I created earlier:
After clicking on the Create button, here comes the first issue!!! I was expecting to have at least 6 fields for each OID/Datasource, however only one OID field appears:
And this is what I have in the Graph Management menu:
So here is the question: How can I plot all of the OIDs in the same graph? Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I've just followed how the Interface Traffic graphs are created but maybe I'm missing something so, could you please help me to create the graphs I need?
Any suggestion??
Thank you all in advance for all your help.
Regards,
Elkin.

Search the forums for 'aggregate' or use the aggregate plugin: http://docs.cacti.net/plugin:aggregate

Hello my friend,Linegod wrote:Search the forums for 'aggregate' or use the aggregate plugin: http://docs.cacti.net/plugin:aggregate
Thanks for your reply but, I don't really realize how the aggregate plugin fits here.
Could you please help me understand a little bit?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Bah. I was looking at a different question. Sorry for the confusion.
You can't define multiple data source items for a Get SNMP Data. You have to use either Get Script Server Data or Get Script Data.
The other method is to define individual Data Templates (like Linux Memory and Linux Memory Free)

Hi Icarus,
Did you find out how to achieve this? I have been trying to do the same thing as well, and have been unsuccessful.
Thanks,
Munira
