c4500 device type

Post by sdwyer »

Hi all,

Found the amazing software this morning and deploying it into our test env atm.

I have a cisco WS-C4506 which i am trying to use as a switch/router in mactrack.

following is my sysDescr string

SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software
IOS (tm) Catalyst 4000 L3 Switch Software (cat4000-I5K2S-M), Version 12.1(20)EW2, EARLY DEPLOYMENT RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Technical Support: http://www.cisco.com/techsupport
Copyright (c) 1986-2004 by cisco

and when i run the scanner by hand.

[root@networkmanager mactrack]# php -q ./mactrack_scanner.php -id=3 -d
No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging

I am running the latest code 2.9-1 and cacti 0.8.8a.

I have set the device type to "4000 L3" and vendor snmp object id match to .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1

I have read that the database variable is too short but also that it has been fixed in the version i am running.

Any pointers would be great,

Simon

Ok fixed the issue.

Changed the OID to .1.3.6.1.4.1.9

the system match to 4000 L3.
