Hello all..
Over at our church, we've got a handful of Cisco (i.e. Linksys) WAP200 and WAP4410N APs spread around the main building. Two SSIDs (primary on native VLAN, guest SSID on another VLAN), and nothing else too flashy.
There's talk of opening up access to the guest SSID to a wider audience, and I'd like to monitor number of associations more closely, so we can decide if we need to look at a more grown-up WLAN solution.
It's really nice that the WAPs have SNMP baked in and all, but there's absolutely no documentation at all. No MIBs, no nothing beyond the admin guide that tells you how to turn it on.
I can monitor interface stats of course, but I'd like to be able to look at associations. If I could see associations on a per-SSID basis, that would be an even bigger win.
Anyone gone down this road before? Dragons? Thanks much.

Re: Monitor Linksys (Cisco Small Biz) WLAN APs - Association
I've been able to determine the OID's that show the SSID and the status of the connected clients, but I do not know how to put them into a template/graph. If there's anyone else that would like to assist, we'd appreciate it very much. I apologize in advance if I've not provided enough information, please let me know if I can help any further.

Re: Monitor Linksys (Cisco Small Biz) WLAN APs - Association
Before you go dive into creating graphs from scratch, have you tried the Cisco AP templates posted here? http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=29294
I'm not sure if the OIDs are the same for SMB products, but those templates work great for Cisco 1130 and 1142.
Two examples from my environment attached.

Yes, I have and I am currently trying to modify those templates to see if I can get them to work with this AP.
Thank you very much for the reply.

Re: Monitor Linksys (Cisco Small Biz) WLAN APs - Association
FWIW I've tried the Cisco 4400 WLC template to no success. I haven't tried the one mentioned in this thread however.
BTW, based on a simple test using the tclsh cited in the post and the results all being 0 I'm thinking it won't work...
