problems with Discovery Plugin, adding a node

Post by jhollon »

SPECs....

new VM test install
Cacti Version 0.8.7i
PIA Version 3.1

only two plugins installed and enabled (AutoM8 and Discovery)

Discovery is setup and runs fine, but the problem happens when i hit the add button to the right of the node Discovery finds to add it to the list of devices. I get the error that /cacti/host.php can't be found. Its there and i have made sure of it. Is there something i am missing on this? I have tried and tried but can't get this to work. it is Discovery 1.5 plugin. EVERYthing else in Cacti seems to be fine, just this. not sure where to go from here.

I have looked all over the interwebs but can't find an answer.

thanks in advance.

Re: problems with Discovery Plugin, adding a node **UPDATE*

update. i think the problem is with Autom8. The reason i say this is that if i uninstall Autom8, the ADD button works fine. When i enable AutoM8 it freaks out.

Now my problem is with AutoM8 but i need different help now. Besides when i enable AutoM8 it kills the ADD button in Discovery, i have tried to dig further and what i see is the followin in Autom8

when i try to create a new rule for a graph rule in autom8, i get the following issue.

It lets me build a new rule but when i get into the rule to create the Rule items i don't get anything except the Cancel or Create button, nothing else.

Anyone seen this yet. I can't find anything on the internet about it. this is the latest version of Autom8

I hit add in the section for Eligible Hosts or Create Graph and its the same, i get a new screen with the only choices being CANCEL or CREATE and CREATE does nothing. Not sure what is going on.

thanks in advance
