Hello there. First of all I'd like to say that I'm quite newbie with centOS and Cacti. For my baccalaureate I have to create monitoring system. As I really need help and can't find solution i will go step by step
I have installed centOS 5.7, set up local server (accessable from school only), php, mysql, snmp...
After ward I have installed (did install...few months ago) cacti 0.8.7g i belive that the version is (yum install cacti). Afterward I have imported database of cacti. Configured everything as it says... In the classroom that I am monitoring pc's I've installed SNMP (windows xp SP2). I haven't set up snmp agent on those pc's or anything.
Default device graphs are working as they should (even tho they are quite poorly scaled since I can work on the server only on thursday...other days the server is shutdowned.
When I've added other pc's for graphing.
hostname : ip
host template: generic SNMP
SNMP version : V1 I think it was (I kinda forgot which 1 I have posted)
Graphs are empty (white box) and in debug it says that rrdtool cannot locate some files...
rrdtool - ver 1.4
monitoring: poller.php
Firewall is disabled so it shouldn't be a problem with it...
I appreciate for all responses and help and I would also really appreciate if you ask me what to try/do to write with commands (As I still have to super learn centOS :/)
ps: On Monday if I will be able to I will check on server/cacti for specific's and will post them if it will help
Thank you again, Nookie
