Nectar not working!

I've got Cacti Version: 0.8.7b, Plugin Architecture Version: 3.0, and when I try to patch the settings plugin i get this message:

Hunk #1 FAILED at 22.
Hunk #2 FAILED at 107.
2 out of 2 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file ./plugins/settings/include/functions.php.rej

also when i try tu execute the setup.php, I get this messages:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function read_config_option() in /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/nectar/setup.php on line 58

can anyone help me!!

How did you setup a 087b with PIA 3.0?
And IMHO, the documentation ready, that the patches are NOT required for latest PIA ... quite confusing

I did it with the official patches, i just run the lines at the official cacti site and thats how i installed it. anyway i cant make nectar work with my cacti site and the pluggin architecture any suggestion?

I'm sorry, but I didn't verify all patches back to 087b.
And as you already faced the pain to install latest PIA 3.0, I recommend to use the 087i+PIA tar.gz package und thus upgrade everything (not only PIA) to latest code. Or wait two days to find (hopefully) the new, fully integrated 088 which comes with latest PIA built-in.
There may be a chance to investigate the failing patches (those should be two-liners, not more) and manually update the 087b code. This might work as well
