Graph tree template

Post by cka304nik »

There is graph templates
There is host template
There is data source templet
------------
But we also need Graph Tree Template
- when we adding new host for monitoring - usually we would like to have the same set of graphs for that host as we have for other similar ones.

The other thing could be expandable Tree in Tree definition as we have this in graphs display

So, nobody need it? :(
Or everyone do it at database level?
Or somebody can share the workaround?

Never thought too much about it.

We have overcome this by writing a bunch of perl scripts to manually go through the database and create the graph trees for the different type of devices we have. I think this is an excellant idea, as then we don't have to manually go into the database.

Sure, I support the opinion the we need Graph Tree Template for having the work to totally complete. Is it possible to do so?

Please have a look at AUTOM8 tree rules. It introduces "rules" instead of "templates", but I'm quite sure it should match your requests
