1) Did you enabled "Debug Log" checkbox in 'Settings -> Thresholds' ?
2) If you looked again 'Settings -> Thresholds', is that checkbox still checked? (= Did you apply official patch already?)

you need to post more than 3 lines of your cacti log. With Thold in debug mode there should be lots of entries in the cacti.log file about thold.
