Does Perl need to be installed??

Post by pshankland »

Stupid question (probably) but does Perl need to be installed to get Cacti working correctly?? I have been using MRTG which requires Perl and have now moved on a clean server to Cacti and when I run cmd.php for poller.php I get the following errors:

Code: Select all

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>php d:\cacti\poller.php

Everything seems to work ok but I would like to know.

Thanks.

Not required unless you want to utilize scripts that leverage it. It's a free download, so I can see why not.
