MySql server connection refused

Hello,
Already, sorry for my shortcomings in English, I'm French. But I will try to do with.
I tried to install Cacti on Windows server 2003 with an Apache web server by following this tutorial (in French) : http://www.adminreseau.net/2009/05/05/i ... dowsiis-6/
So I adapted a bit from the tutorial to install on an Apache server. But when I open the web page http://subdomain.domain.tld/cacti, an error appears:

FATAL: Cannot connect to MySQL server on 'localhost'. Please make sure you have specified a valid MySQL database name in 'include/config.php'

The codes are good, the database is created and the contents filled in using the SQL file in the archive.

Someone there an idea?

I managed!
I just change:

$database_type = "mysql";

to:

$database_type = "mysqli";

There must be a problem with the MySQL extension ...

1) follow http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11747 and report back your findings.
2) last I heard, Cacti 0.8.7 doesn't really support the MySQLi extension. you still should be using the regular mysql one.
