Dear All,
I'm beginner on using Linux and recently i installed Linux Debian x86 latest version 6 successfully after that i installed the latest image of Cacti 8 also installation guide available.
i follow the steps in guide but unfortunately the information are old for example i have installed PHP5 file in talking about something else.
after i did all changes as i can i tried to open cacti from web page but ti show me that no cacti installed.
i checked package installed and Cacti is there.
any idea or maybe any new latest guide for installing Cacti on linux.
please help me

yes sir, i done it exactly like that and i installed cacti successfully.
But after installation we need to make some configuration to run the Apache and Sql server correctly also PHP this i didn't think i made it well because i didn't find the directory exactly like the guide .
do we have new guide for Debian 6 cacti installation.

The documentation at 1st link of my sig was created using Fedora and should work well with all Red Hat type distros. Debian sorts some files differently. But as a rule of thumb, you still should follow the instructions. It may happen, that some parameters are already defined correctly in newer versions of e.g. php.
In case you're in doubt, please search this forum for instructions on debian and/or Ubuntu that might help. Those are not verified by the devs, but in general should work well
