G0dSmack:
Do you have an ETA when the next updated template package will be released? Importing your v9 release it into my 0.8.7g installation, I'm finding various bugs. I won't bother fixing them if you've already done so.
SNMP - Informant CPU Statistics
cpuAPCBypassesPerSe = not enabled or correctly assigned
cpuDPCBypassesPerSe = not enabled or correctly assigned
All Data Query Templates
Suggested Values - none present.
1) Why are all the graph/data source templates named W32 instead of something with SNMP informant? These aren't native Windows SNMP agent OIDs.
2) Considered naming the resource/snmp_query/ templates with something regarding the standard informant template to differentiate those who also have the other SNMP informant products installed?
3) Considered posting/maintaining this template package on http://docs.cacti.net/templates?

I will be releasing a new version here soon and port back to G and see if you can get them to import correctly. And also work on getting them added to the link for templates as a good place to keep them.

Re: WinXP/Vista/Win7/Win2000/Win2003/Win2008 Templates x32/x
Few issues with v10.
Graph template - SNMP_Informant_Standard - Disk Statistics (Metrics)
AvgDiskSecPerRead is duplicated.
With the extra precision specified for the result, default graph width is too narrow; some is rendered off the graph.
Data Query - SNMP - Informant CPU Statistics
cpuAPCBypassesPerSe = not enabled or correctly assigned
cpuDPCBypassesPerSe = not enabled or correctly assigned
Graph template - SNMP_Informant_Standard - CPU Statistics
CPU Usage Threshold: - Why is this arbitrarily set at 85? Consider making this a user input field so its customizable per data source.
Graph template - SNMP_Informant_Standard - Memory Statistics (Paging)
With the extra precision specified for the result, default graph width is too narrow; some is rendered off the graph.
Graph template - SNMP_Informant_Standard - Memory Statistics (Usage)

Removed APC and DPC Bypasses for CPU Statistics. These are not working. Here is version 12 of the templates. Enjoy.@!

Re: WinXP/Vista/Win7/Win2000/Win2003/Win2008 Templates x32/x
Is there any reason for the Disk stats query to truncate the "query_lDiskInstance" name to a certain amount of characters?
I have the templates installed and they are graphing and gathering data fine, but it is truncating the volume name.
The actual volume is called "D:DFSROOTSGroupsDataPTX", and it is seen during the Verbose query output and during the selection when creating the graphs, but when it actually creates the graph, the name is " Disk D:DFSROOTSUsers (Percent Usage) "
How the selection process sees it:
How the verbose sees it: How it ends up being created :
I counted it and it drops off anything longer than 20 characters. I tried to expand the graph size from 700 to 800 thinking it may help, but to no avail.
I dug through the templates and data queries trying to get it to display the full name, tried to shorten the query string thinking it had a character limit, but nothing makes sense. I have about 10 volumes like this per host, so reading the graphs that all have the same name isn't too user friendly
Any ideas?

to G0dSmack,
In the V9 version we've :
<name>Daily (5 Minute Average)</name>
<x_files_factor>0.5</x_files_factor>
<steps>1</steps>
<rows>25920</rows>
<timespan>86400</timespan>
<cf_items>1|2|3|4</cf_items>
in the V12 version we've this :
<name>Daily (5 Minute Average)</name>
<x_files_factor>0.5</x_files_factor>
<steps>1</steps>
<rows>600</rows>
<timespan>86400</timespan>
<cf_items>1|3</cf_items>
is it normal ?
Thanks in advanced to confirm it.

Re: WinXP/Vista/Win7/Win2000/Win2003/Win2008 Templates x32/x
Hi!
I am using the template to monitor two Windows 2008 Server and one Windows 7 hosts with latest SNMP-Informant 1.6. It seems that the "network statistics" template is not working correctly. On both 2008 Server the graph shows "-nan" on "Bytes received/sec", and "-nan" for "bytes sent/sec" on the Windows 7 host. There is network traffic for the monitored direction, as "bytes total/sec" shows.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Re: WinXP/Vista/Win7/Win2000/Win2003/Win2008 Templates x32/x
Okay, I tracked this down to snmp-informant. The Table "netBytesReceivedPerSec" is empty on the host. Seems to be a snmp-informant issue, not cacti or the template.
Re: WinXP/Vista/Win7/Win2000/Win2003/Win2008 Templates x32/x
After adding this (v.12) THold stopped triggering for any windows thresholds. I'm on Cacti 0.8.7h and THold 0.4.9. The only solution was to remove the Windows devices entirely and re-add them. Short of doing this to 40 servers I will have to revert my VM snapshot to before adding this template.
Re: WinXP/Vista/Win7/Win2000/Win2003/Win2008 Templates x32/x
Hello,
Is there any way with SNMP Informant to get the IP address/alias of the network interface?
I have machines with 3 or 4 NW Interfaces and it would be nice to have for each graph an IP address in the title.
I tried to add in the xml file the oids from windows SNMP but of course that there is no correlation between the windows standard oid and the snmp informand oid
Also with snmpwalk I cannot find any other name than the network connection name
thanks!
