I've downloaded the templated and uploaded it to cacti but can't get any interface graphs displaying??? It detects the interfaces but no graphing.

We are using Nexus 5000.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks.

Hi,

I try to monitor cisco n7000 with this template. cpu, mem and port channel interface graphs works fine but all the interface traffics which corresponds to subinterfaces are fail.
How can i create a working subinterface traffic graph?

i had to update the data template and recreate the graphs.

Cacti | Data Templates | Cisco Nexus 7000 - 5 Minute CPU.

change the OID from .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.6 to .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.6.1

[root@gtmem152mon rra]# snmpwalk -v 2c -c comm switchip .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.6.1
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.6.1 = Gauge32: 5

Just wanted to state that these templates completely messed up my interface graphs for all my devices, so if you are going to use them, use some serious caution.

Is this really solved? Last comment from prospero63 doesnt look nice. I cant find Nexus templates in official page:

Code: Select all

http://docs.cacti.net/templates
And excuse my lack of knowledge but after unpacking zip file included I can see this:

cacti_data_template_cisco_nexus_-_5_minute_cpu.xml
cacti_graph_template_cisco_nexus_-_procmem_usage.xml
cacti_data_template_cisco_nexus_-_procmem_usage.xml
cacti_host_template_cisco_nexus.xml
cacti_graph_template_cisco_nexus_-_cpu_usage.xml

To try and risk that it mess up my graphs I should copy data templates into /cacti/resource/snmp_queries/ and import graph template via web interface [Import Templates] ?

Also I am kindly asking all, please if you have tested Nexus templates share it.

Thx for response

Importing these files *destroyed* my existing templates that had nothing to do with it.
I assume it contains the author's "Interface Statistics" data query, data templates, graph templates and what not.
Regardless of that, it didn't work on the Nexus 7K I was trying it on.
Since there is no way to see what was changed, revert or reapply the original objects, I have to spend a couple of hours trying to fix this. :x

For the innocent user:
Do not import this template!
These worked for me:

- Nexus 5000 CPU: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.7.1
- Nexus 7000 CPU & RAM:
5 seconds: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.6.1 = Gauge32: 8 <-------- you probably don't need this
1 minute: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.7.1 = Gauge32: 10
5 minutes: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.8.1 = Gauge32: 9
Memory used: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.12.1 = Gauge32: 3189960
Memory free: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.13.1 = Gauge32: 925780
More:
http://tools.cisco.com/Support/SNMP/do/ ... oidContent

Mod/Admin:
You need to get rid of this template before it causes any more damage to other people.

EDIT: Part of this shit template apparently includes having five fields for the SNMP port per data template and who knows what else.
If anyone knows how to revert this - ie where the fields for this form defined in, I am begging for your help, thanks.

Hey hi,

The template which you have given for cisco nexus 7000 gives nan values for cpu usage and procmem usage. I am using cacti 0.8.8a. Whats the issue?

Thanks

I tried to create a new template to graph Cisco Nexus devices performances.
Everything is working well for interface graphs.
But when I try to use CPU Usage and/or Memory usage I get the following messages:

Performin a SNMPwalk against that particular OID is returning back a good value. I'm attaching the templates if someone wants to analyze them.

Thanks.

Looks like the data queries are missing for that template. I just need to know where can I get those files which I will put in <path_cacti>/resource/snmp_queries which will help me create new data queries.

Thanks

Gents,

For used memory, you can use OID .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.12.1, and for free memory - .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.109.1.1.1.1.13.1

BUT note, that returned values are in KBytes(as are, when you issue "show system resources" on switch)

Hi,

SNMP OID used for a Cisco Nexus 9504 Active Supervisor Card CPU+RAM Utilization + CPU Temperature ("Data Templates" Cacti menu):

CISCO NEXUS Active Supervisor Average CPU Utilization:
OID: iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.305.1.1.1.0

CISCO NEXUS Active Supervisor Average RAM Utilization:
OID: iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.305.1.1.2.0

CISCO NEXUS Active Supervisor CPU Temp:
OID: iso.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.91.1.1.1.1.4.40152

Cf. CISCO-ENTITY-SENSOR-MIB and CISCO-SYSTEM-EXT-MIB
