Upgraded to 0.8.6c and tree view graphs disappeared.

Post by Lojak »

Hi all,

I just finished upgrading from 0.8.5a to 0.8.6c and our well maintained tree view of our graphs no longer shows up. It appears empty. All the graphs appear to be generating fine, as I can view it using list or preview modes..

Ideas?

Since no one seems to have an idea, I'll pass on this bit of info: The graph trees still exist, and I am able to add/delete as an admin, but viewing tree graphs does not produce a list of trees, or the contents of those trees.

Thanks Rony, and no worries, I'm out of the office this week too.

I put built-in authentification on and if I log in with "admin", the graph tree is appearing. With "guest" account nothing is displayed...

Strange problem...

Ok,

I have to admit that some of the 0.8.7 code got into the 0.8.6c release, one line. Bug is described below:
When built in authenication is turned off viewing graphs in tree view returns no tree or graphs. If built in authenication is enabled, and a users login occurs, then the graphs are visable per set permissions.
Attached is a patch to fix it and a copy of the patched functions.php file for those that don't like patch. ;)

To patch, run

Code: Select all

patch -p1 < no_auth_no_graphs_in_tree_bug.patch.txt
To use patched functions.php, simply place it in your lib directory in your cacti installation overwritting the existing one.

As always, please remember to make back up copies before proceeding with either option.
