autom8

Post by msw1970 »

Hi

Is it possible to use the autom8 plugin to create graphs for a single OID? We want to graph the routing table size on a number of different devices but want to avoid having to go through and add the graph to each host in turn.

Thanks

No and Yes. Autom8 always refers to existing Graph Templates, it does not create them. In case you have such a Template that refers to a Data Template using that OID, all will be fine.

It seems an autom8 graph rule has to be created from a data query? is that right? If so, what's the easiest way to create a data query to read a single oid rather than an indexed table?

Find documentation of Data Queries at 1st link of my sig.
AUTOM8 does not only work on data queries. It only applies "rules" to a data query. All non-data-query graph templates associated to a host will always be used to create the associated graphs (restriction: they should not require a user input)
