Hello everybody,
I've just tried to upgrade Spine with the latest version 0.8.7i on a Windows server but it doesn't work properly. I use the Spine binaries for Windows and my Cacti version is 0.8.7i.
My issue: it works fine for most of my monitored devices in SNMPv2c (mainly Cisco kits) but doesn't work for devices configured with SNMPv3 and for the PING (using the ICMP Ping). Surprisingly, some pings work and other don't (same settings for all of them).
The previous version of Spine (0.8.7g) worked perfectly with all of my devices.
The error messages:
01/06/2012 11:15:16 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[96] Hostname[...] ERROR: HOST EVENT: Host is DOWN Message: Host did not respond to SNMP
01/06/2012 11:15:08 AM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[59] Hostname[...] ERROR: HOST EVENT: Host is DOWN Message: ICMP: Ping timed out
If I do some verbose queries, I've got replies so the SNMP settings are still alright.
A second issue I've just noticed: in the System Utilities > View Cacti Log File, the automatic refresh doesn't work.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Cacti/spine 0.8.7g worked with SNMPv3 but Cacti/spine 0.8.7i does not?
What mysql and php version?
If you revert back to cmd.php, does snmpv3 work?

I will test and tell you the result.

Alright.
In addition, please run spine in verbose mode for a single snmpv3 device and attach the log file for review.

I can not confirm this as a general statement. We are running several devices successfully. So it may depend on the combination of V2 parms used. Which are in use in your installation?Tibo wrote:Yes, you are correct.BSOD2600 wrote: Cacti/spine 0.8.7g worked with SNMPv3 but Cacti/spine 0.8.7i does not?
