Preinstall plugin management

Post by brononius »

Hey,

Not a technical question or so, just a 'vision question'.
I was wondering why the plug-in management application isn't standard installed under cacti.
Personally I believe this is a big positive add-on to the cacti tool. So why not make it standard?
Cacti: 0.8.7i PIA on Ubuntu (linuxmce) with NET-SNMP 5.4.1 / RRDTool 1.2.x
Plugins: Manage062, Syslog122, Mactrack29, Settings071, Weathermap097a, Quicktree02, Thold049, Configmanager0826, Aggregate070, Realtime043, Nettools015
Private use: 24 hosts (and trying to integrate it into linuxmce)
Professional use 1635 nodes with 3616 graphs (backup / syslog / weathermaps...)

Check the download page, we do release the PA pre-installed with v0.8.7i. Also, it is built into the main branch of cacti now and thus would be included with all future versions starting with 1.0.
