Pperformance counters Via SNMP

Post by chandrashekar »

Hi,

I would like to monitor performance counters such as cpu usage, logicaldisk space...etc
Via snmp through WMI get set..
Example: instead of querying root\cimv2, i need to query data from root\localhost\snmp
i tried using perfmib,Compiled from smi2smir.exe and genarated mof and created namespace
in wmi, I tried to get the values from the roo\snmp\localhost but wasn't succesfull, All counters were not worked correctly, Please guide me how to get the performance counters from WMI via snmp.

snmp-informant has already implemented this. Otherwise you can roll your own with scripts (powershell, vbscript, etc).

Looked on google yet? plenty of guides and premade scripts out there. Microsoft script repository is a good starting point.
