rrd files not being created

Post by networxhosting »

I am a new user of cacti and am trying to set it up on all of our 24-port Dell Switches. Everything seemed to have gone OK with the install but i now face a problem when the poller runs

I get the following error:

ERROR: opening '/home/cacti/public_html/rra/colo101_traffic_in_16.rrd': No such file or directory

(colo101 is the name of the switch)

For some reason the .rrd files are NOT being created, even when chmod 777 the rra directory.

The permissions are all set properly so im wondering why rrdtool cannot create the .rrd files in the rra directory

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Is there something im missing?

I figured out my issue, what i had to do was go into The Templates for Traffic and remove the duplicate entries of "traffic_in" and "traffic_out" as there were 2 of each
