Adding multiple interfaces to one graph

Post by ddalton »

I have two interfaces with one customer, get them to sum together as one graph with a total in total out?

To create a graph with just the total of two data sources, do the following.

Add the two data sources that you want to total to a new graph, making sure not to enter anything for 'Text Format'.

Then, add a third AREA item to the graph, using the CDEF "Total All Data Sources". Make sure to give this item a color/legend text.

See if that gives you the proper results.

With the CDEF is being used to total all datasources, is there anyway to do the bytes to bits conversion still on a graph such as this?

No, that is not directly possible in cacti 0.6.8. You could manually create a CDEF that added up the correct data sources, then multiply that by 8. Cacti 0.8 will allow you to do this automatically though.
