flowview -> system load?

Post by Higarigh »

Hey Guys

I have a question about the cacti Plugin Flowview (http://docs.cacti.net/plugin:flowview). Does it generate a huge system load on the cacti server? And how much load does enable the option "route-cache" produce on a cisco switch?

regards

It all depends on the amount of data being forwarded and the io bandwidth of the disks. You can track using iostat.

iostat - good point, thank you. I will check that.

But... maybe can anyone tell me how it looks like on his switch and cacti server?... ;P
