Monitoring of a MGE-Schneider UPS from CACTI ?

Post by yvesdelay »

Hello,

Has anybody ever succeeded in monitoring UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supplies) of different brands in CACTI ?

I succeeded in monitoring an APC UPS, thanks to the "APC UPS" template

But I failed in monitoring MGE-Schneider UPS (models : Comet 20 kVA, Galaxy 5000). I tried the "MGE UPS" template but it failed.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sure that all sorts of UPS' are monitored with Cacti. All you need is a way to extract information from them. Most suppliers use snmp. Some might foolishly use WEBEM/CIM.
