Re: procedure to install the autom8 into cacti 0.8.7h/PA v3.
- install cacti
- install PIA
- drop autom8 into the plugins folder
- activate autom8 from "Plugin Management" within cacti
That's the usual procedure to install any plugin. There's nothing specific with autom8

Hey gandalf, you have a lot of experience and I saw cacti-plugin-0.8.7h-PA-v3.0.tar.gz
I have installed cacti 0.8.7h and all configured, I didn't installed before PIA, if I installed now will works? I guess yes.
1
patch -p1 -N < cacti-plugin-0.8.7h-PA-v3.0.diff
2
edit ./include/config.php
I add
/* load up old style plugins here */
$plugins = array();
//$plugins[] = 'thold';
/*
Edit this to point to the default URL of your Cacti install
ex: if your cacti install as at http://serverip/cacti/ this
would be set to /cacti/
*/
$url_path = "/cacti/";
3 have to add pa.sql in the database?
mysql -u root < pa.sql

I'm also having issues getting autom8 0.35 to cleanly work with Cacti 0.8.7h and PIA 3.1.
UI is missing a lot of images, the web server logs are full of 404 errors about /cacti/plugins/autom8/images/[...]...
Only, the autom8 tgz available on the plugin page (http://docs.cacti.net/_media/plugin:autom8-v0.35.tgz) doesn't contain an images folder.
I checked 0.33, and it's missing an images folder as well.
