Cacti Server with multiple nic

Post by gerwingood »

Hello All,

Been testing cacti alot last few weeks and everything works great except one thing.

Cacti Server:
Windows Server 2003.

It has 2 nic's.
One for subnet 1.1.1.1/24
One for subnet 2.2.2.2/24

The default nic is the 1.1.1.1/24.
I can created devices on both subnets without a problem. The device is add and i can create new graphs on both subnets.
But now the problem start.
On the 1.1.1.1/24 i get graphs with values and data about how many bandwith utilization.
On subnet 2.2.2.2/24 i dont get a graph just a red cross and nothing more.
On a cisco switch in the 2.2.2.2/24 i can view the CPU and Memory Graph but all the network interface won't get a graph.

When i use SNMPwalk to a device on the 2.2.2.2/24 range i get all the info about the device
Something like:
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.15.1.1.10.1.1 = INTEGER: 2011
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.15.1.1.10.1.2 = INTEGER: 2011
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.15.1.1.10.1.3 = INTEGER: 2

SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.18.1.1.9.1.196 = Timeticks: (66492700) 7 days, 16:42:07.00
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.43.18.1.1.9.1.197 = Timeticks: (66491700) 7 days, 16:41:57.00

But the graph is empty in Caci.

The rra folder stays empty on the devices in the 2.2.2.2/24 range.

Any idea how i can fix this problem?
There is no firewall or router between the cacti server and the snmp devices.
Just 2 network nics in the cacti server to get traffic from both ranges.

follow http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11747, including the debugging guide to find out why cacti is failing to collect data.
