I currently have my default alerting option for 'Repeat Alert after specified number of poller cycles.' set to 96 polls. Does this apply to down host notifications? In other words, once a host is down an initial email will go out (3 polling cycles), then in another 96 polls will a re-trigger email go out stating that the host is still down?
I'm currently running Cacti 8.7g and Thold 0.4.9. I currently have a single host down, it has been for 2980 polls.
Also can someone tell me what is the meaning of the "hosts" line in the Cacti Thold log output:

The number of Down Hosts. I guess it could be labeled better...

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?

Re: Thold host down re-alerting...
Thanks for that, but what about my original question, is there an ability to re-alert for down hosts? Currently this only seems to work for thresholds created against graphs.
Thanks again,
