Threshold 4.8-4 re-alerting every minute?!?!

Post by scline »

I have the following installed:

Thold 4.8-4
Settings: 0.71
Cacti 0.8.7h

I upgraded Thold from 4.7 to 4.8-4 to fix the Weathermap bug though instead of re-alerting when it is breached (say every 30 minutes) it alarms every minute. The Thold page shows the re-alerting cycle as 30 minutes but it emails every minute :(

Please help as I have reinstalled Thold/Settings plugin and even disabled Weathermap as trouble shooting steps. Still does this...

Upon further investigation it looks like this only affects "Warning" alarms, critical alarms are processed correctly. Is this a known bug?

i can confirm the trouble with alerting messages for WARNING and ALERT messages, if u use time based thresholds.

i got mails every 15min. with the following settings:

THANKS for the update but Cacti behave the same,
Plugin Management show THOLD 0.4.9.

Any idea what could be the reason for this behavior?

I've also tried to delete and recreate the thold for the device.....

Just checked. Time based is fine, but Hi/Low appears to be broken... Darn... Fixing.

Hi,
I still have toruble with re-alerting with 0.4.9-3.
With the settings from above, i.e. i get a warning mail that a value is still above threshold of 80 with 82.
If i set warning trigger count to 1 (5min), nothing change.
Whats wrong with my settings?
