When I install and enable HMIB, Cacti's web performance suffers greatly. To install I copied the hmib folder to the plugins directory, and copied the scripts and resources folders to the matching folders on the cacti root.
Then I ran the install and then enable in the plugin management inteface. Applied appropriate permissions for the plugin in User Management, Then in Settings I selected the appropriate data queries and templates in the drop downs... i.e. Host MIB Processes Template has Host MIB Processes.
Then I set the collection frequencies to be 1 Hour, and without adding new graphs.
Have I screwed something up, or am i missing something?

Limit your fan out to something less than the default which is 10. Also, there is a minor bug in the HMIB interface that I will correct today.

Fixed in SVN 1951. Let me know if that fixes it.

Post a screen shot of your hmib I'm also interested in comments as to the usefulness of the tool.

I'm still working through it. Right now, it's just a bunch of zeros.... When I get something good looking, I'll post it up.TheWitness wrote:Post a screen shot of your hmib I'm also interested in comments as to the usefulness of the tool.
