WeatherMaps installation troubles

Post by aprobst »

Hi all,

I have installed cacti on a Ubuntu LTS 10.04 so cacti version is 0.8.7e.
Then I tried to install WeatherMap plugin 0.97a version (going through Architecture plugin installation) and almost everything went right following the WeatherMap installation guide stopping before the editor part.
http://www.network-weathermap.com/manua ... ditor.html

I get the WeatherMap link in the Console tab's left menu appearing in Management part (note that I don't see any new WeatherMap tab).

When I click on this link I open the http://myIP/cacti/plugins/weathermap/we ... n-mgmt.php and strange things happens :
all the images are missing... and I don't know why.
As the left menu is available I click on Devices to go back to cacti devices page, but it try to reach the link
http://myIP/cacti/plugins/weathermap/host.php
instead of
http://myIP/cacti/host.php

I suspect a root directory trouble in the weatherMap code, but I don't know where to look for something like this...

Could you help me ?

Regards

Did you import pa.sql when you installed the PA?
Did you set base_url in config.php after installing the PA?
Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Hi

Yes I did import pa.sql after installing PA.
I haven't set no base_url variable in config.php, I only set the url_path variable.
What shall I add to base_url variable ?

ah, url_path is what I meant... usually when you get strange links relative to things you don't expect like that, it's because url_path is incorrect.

Does the user you are logged in as have the 'View Weathermaps' and 'Manage Weathermaps' permissions? Do those permissions show up in the list of permissions?
