Hello,
I was wandering if there is a plugin or something to parse an XML and get the needed info. I need to get info from a web service and I`m using a wget script to get the XML info. ( if there is a better way to do this, I`m all ears ).
By the way is there any CLI addon for cacti? I want to add some plots and after that to move them to another machine ? ( I was thinking something like : I add the plots with a "script" and after that I move to the next cacti machine I run the script and I have the same plots there too = "deploy")
Tnx,
Mihai C

Re: XML parser & cacti CLI
Please see 1st linjk of my sig to find out how cacti retrieves custom data. Shortly: use your own script! This script may well use XML parsing to fetch that data. And perhaps you'll find a similar script on the scripts and Templates forum to copy the XML processing part.
You may use wget and XML parsing or any other means to fetch the basic data; it all depends on your likings.
The second part (it is preferred to open a new thread for a new topic) of your question: When saying "plot", do you refer to the graphs that cacti produces? There's the "export graph" option that may help you. Find it under "Settings"
