This might be intresting

Post by dev2dev »

Hello,
After long long long days/hours, atlast I configured my cacti on windows 2003.

The intresting thing I wanted to tell you all is, the "php-win d:\cacti\poller.php" which executed by my scheduler normally hangs up and ends up with error saying "...exiting after 259 seconds " or similer message.
But today, while the poller.php was being executed, when I executed the "php d:\cacti\cmd.php" suddently the poller.php which noramally doesnt executes shown me error like

Code: Select all

#!/usr/bin/php -q

As i said in my priv. post.
I have to run cmd.php to let the poller.php to complete execution.
So I added another task in sheduler which will run 1 minute after poller.php runs,
(i think i could do by adding both of them in a batch file and add it to task sheduler)

this is irritating

I still didnt find the way to get rid of this problem,
I am not sure the trick I applied is the unltimate solution, but its annoying me like anything.

every five minutes my scheduler runs poller.php which requires cmd.php scheduler (runs after 1 minute) to let the poller.php finish the task, but here its pops up 5-10 windows quickly closes and takes 1-2 minute to close the last 2-1 window(s).

please somebody help me fix this problem, or atleast tell me how I can run the scheduler which doest popsup and keep inturupting my work and make me frustate and irritate

thank you all

Run the scheduled taks as a different user, this will stop all the pop ups from occuring.
