I have a problem and hope that you can help me as fast as possible
. By the way I'm using Debian Lenny.I installed cacti with the command: apt-get install cacti. That was no problem. Then the configuration started and I was able to login. But at this time, I was to stupid to know that the username and password is admin/admin.
Then i made a big mistake and the problem is, that i forgot what i've done
After that, the site http://localhost/cacti/ was no longer available
. I tried to remove cacti (the cacti database to) with the command: apt-get remove cacti.After that I installed it new, but I wasn't able to do the WHOLE configuration new. That means that the database still exists anywhere and I can't do it again.
Is there a way you can help me so that i can start the WHOLE configuration again? Or is there a command, that allows me to delete everything that has something to do with cacti?
Meanwhile i removed cacti completely with the following commands: apt-get --purge remove cacti rm /etc/cacti -rf rm /usr/share/cacti -rf and apt-get clean
Now I can install everything new
but there occurred another Problem: FATAL: Cannot connect to MySQL server on 'localhost'. Please make sure you have specified a valid MySQL database name in 'include/config.php'This appears when I will finish the installation.
