Hi,
Newb alert - please be kind
I've done a bit of search here found a few threads on this topic, but I've either missed it in the detail or my use case is a bit different.
I'm using Cacti to graph a bunch of collectd stats using the external RRD guide (http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:8_rrdt ... ernal_rrds) which is basically working exactly as I'd like, e.g:
BUT...
Now I've got some Quad-Core boxes - I want to do a similar graph for Quad-Core CPUs, summarizing each metric across all cores.
collectd writes one RRD per metric per CPU (i.e. 28 RRDs), so I'm guessing that I need to draw an invisible line for each metric, then do a stacked element that takes the averages and divides by four.
Is this possible or have I got it completely wrong?

What about using Aggregate plugin? (Please see PDF manual for details)

Thanks for that - I haven't discovered the world of cacti plugins yet.
