script error

Post by Guest »

I have
cacti-0.8.6b
cactid-0.8.6c
PHP5.0.2
Net-snmp 5.2-1
rrdtool
all installed on a Windows 2003 server with IIS6 installed. When I try to connect to the cacti index.php for the first time I get this error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in C:\cacti\lib\adodb\drivers\adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 323

Note: I get this error using the php_mysqli.dll extension in the php.ini file. If I use the php_mysql.dll extension I get this error.

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client in C:\cacti\lib\adodb\drivers\adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 324

Cannot connect to MySQL server on 'localhost'. Please make sure you have specified a valid MySQL database name in 'include/config.php'.

The config.php is configured as the documentation states.

Any help is appreciated...thanks.

Possible solution

Hi there,

Take a look at the following:

http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=5728

It sounds like the same sort of problem and a fix for it.

You are correct dorje, the user is actually using MySQL 4.1.x and not 4.0.x. You are not as young as you look in that picture are you?

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
